DAY 1
DAY 2
Commence your day with a hearty breakfast, marking the beginning of your Jordanian exploration. Embark on a brief bus journey north to the Mamluk fortress of Ajlun, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views over the Jordan Valley.
Following this, proceed to the Graeco-Roman city of Jerash, celebrated as the best-preserved city of its kind outside of Rome.
Continue your journey to Gadara, also known as Umm Qais. Situated atop a hill in the north-west corner of Jordan, Gadara offers magnificent panoramic views overlooking Lake Tiberias, the Yarmouk River, and the Golan Heights.
Though its earliest history remains shrouded in mystery, Gadara's hilltop location and historical significance promise a captivating visit.
Explore the remnants of this ancient site, taking in the grand vistas that have witnessed centuries of history.
DAY 3
Embark on an immersive city tour in Amman, a journey that bridges the gap between ancient and modern cultures within the same cityscape. Your exploration begins with a visit to the Roman Theater, an iconic landmark that bears witness to centuries of history.
Continue to the Amman Citadel, a national historic site perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views that encapsulate the city's rich heritage.
Delve into the contrasting atmospheres of the modern and old city, experiencing the dynamic blend of cultures that define Amman.
The juxtaposition of modern West Amman against the historic backdrop of the old city creates a captivating narrative of the city's evolution.
Extend your exploration to the Eastern Desert of Amman, where the Desert Castles stand as remarkable relics of the past. Qasr Amra, Qasr Kharaneh, and Qasr al Azraq are among the best-preserved castles, each holding its unique historical significance. Conclude your day with an overnight stay in Amman, reflecting on the rich tapestry of cultural experiences woven throughout the city.
DAY 4
Following breakfast, our journey commences towards Madaba, a city renowned for its mosaic-filled streets. Situated in the heart of Jordan's most fertile region, this historic town is home to the finest mosaic to date, still adorning the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.
Positioned 10 kilometers west of Madaba and overlooking the Jordan Valley, Mount Nebo stands out as one of the confirmed sites believed to be the tomb of Moses, where he is thought to have glimpsed the Promised Land.
Continuing our drive, we descend until we reach Bethany beyond the Jordan, the site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ, as documented in the New Testament.
The day's most breathtaking site awaits us at the Dead Sea, the lowest body of water on earth, situated 400 meters below sea level. With a salt content eight times that of most world oceans, the Dead Sea offers the extraordinary experience of effortless floating.
Swimming in the Dead Sea is a truly exceptional and not-to-be-missed activity.
Our overnight stay is planned at the Dead Sea, ensuring ample time to savor this unique and spectacular destination.
DAY 5
After enjoying breakfast at the Dead Sea, our journey takes us towards Kerak, following the scenic route from the Dead Sea. Kerak, specifically Alkharazeh, is renowned for its Crusader fortress, situated at the heart of underground galleries, rooms, and secret passageways.
The fortress boasts thick defensive walls punctuated by narrow arrow slits, where Crusader archers valiantly held their ground for over a century, albeit ultimately in vain.
Upon exploring the historic Kerak Castle, we will then proceed towards Little Petra, also known as "Beida." This site holds significance as the place where the Nabateans entertained their guests.
Little Petra offers a glimpse into the architectural and cultural marvels of the Nabatean civilization.
As the day unfolds, soak in the historical richness of Kerak and the enchanting ambiance of Little Petra. The evening brings us to Petra, where we will spend the night, ensuring ample time to immerse ourselves in the wonders of this ancient city.
DAY 6
On the sixth day, our itinerary includes a visit to the renowned archaeological site of Petra, situated in Jordan's southwestern desert.
Petra is a captivating destination and stands out as one of the most recommended and fascinating sights in Jordan. Recognized as one of the seven new wonders of the world, Petra boasts extraordinary architecture and impressive historical significance. This ancient city, carved into the mountains by the Nabatean people over 2000 years ago, offers a mesmerizing experience.
The morning in Petra allows everyone to explore at their own pace and enjoy some free time for relaxation. In the afternoon, we will embark on a drive to Wadi Rum, known for its stunning desert landscapes and unique geological formations. Our overnight stay is planned at Wadi Rum camps, providing an immersive experience in this enchanting desert environment.
DAY 7
Heading south into the captivating desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan's largest and one of the most spectacular desert landscapes globally, awaits an adventurous day. A thrilling Jeep tour within the Wadi allows you to immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery. Marvel at the most beautiful sunset views while sipping a cup of traditional Bedouin tea, creating a truly memorable experience.
Following the Jeep tour, we will transfer to a campsite nestled within the desert, providing an opportunity to connect with the tranquil beauty of Wadi Rum. The journey continues to the picturesque Gulf city of Aqaba, which serves as Jordan's sole outlet to the sea. After a few days of adventure, it's time to unwind and relax on the beaches of the Aqaba Gulf in the Red Sea. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and the beauty of the coastal surroundings as you take a well-deserved break.
