PETRA & WADI RUM WEEKEND TOUR IN Details
Upon arrival at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Amman, you will be greeted by our representative, who will assist you with immigration procedures and guide you to your transportation. From there, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Amman for check-in. You can spend the rest of the day leisurely, relaxing, and preparing for the exciting adventure ahead.
Your second day begins with a visit to the ancient city of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Often referred to as the "Rose City" due to the warm hues of its rock-cut architecture, Petra is a true masterpiece of human ingenuity and nature's artistry. This city was established over 2,000 years ago by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab civilization known for their advanced water management systems, monumental architecture, and vibrant culture.
Explore the famous al-Siq to Treasury Trail, the most popular route in Petra. This trail begins at the Petra Visitor Center, leading through the dramatic, narrow gorge of the Siq before opening up to reveal the awe-inspiring Treasury (Al-Khazneh), Petra’s most iconic landmark. The trail continues beyond the Treasury, passing the Royal Tombs, the Colonnaded Street, and eventually concluding at Qasr al-Bint (The Girl’s Palace). Along the way, you’ll uncover the incredible history of Petra, a vital crossroads for ancient trade routes, where caravans laden with incense, silk, and spices once rested.
Wadi Rum
After immersing yourself in the wonders of Petra, the journey continues south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan’s largest and most spectacular desert. Known for its otherworldly landscapes of red sand dunes, towering sandstone cliffs, and rock formations, Wadi Rum has captivated visitors for centuries.
Enjoy a two-hour Jeep tour through this breathtaking desert, where you’ll experience the serene beauty of the vast expanse and enjoy unparalleled views of the sunset. As the sun sets over the horizon, you’ll be treated to a cup of traditional Bedouin tea—a moment of tranquility in the heart of the desert.
Your day concludes with an unforgettable evening at a desert campsite. Indulge in a traditional ZARB dinner, a Bedouin-style feast cooked underground, while enjoying the warm hospitality of the local Bedouins. Relax under the starlit desert sky and take in the peaceful surroundings before settling in for the night. Overnight with a cultural party at the Wadi Rum camp.
DAY 3
On your final day, wake up to the serenity of the Wadi Rum desert and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the campsite. Take one last moment to savor the stunning desert landscapes before departing.
You’ll then be transferred to Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Amman for your departure. As you bid farewell to Jordan, you’ll take with you unforgettable memories of Petra’s timeless wonders and the breathtaking beauty of Wadi Rum’s desert landscapes.
This concludes your Petra & Wadi Rum Weekend Tour, a journey through two of Jordan’s most iconic and awe-inspiring destinations.
